Chinese Seal Carving Artist Bio
Huang He (Yellow River) was born in Yunnan province in March of the
year 1964, he has
dedicated his life to, and made a career of Chinese seal carving. Huang He was born with a love for
oil painting that came from his father. He has a very good foundation in art
that stems from years of sketching family members, and creating vivid oil paintings of
family and neighbors in the community where he was born.
College Education
A 1982 College
graduate, in 1983 his oil painting "tradition" was "the 11th Plenum of
outstanding art exhibit". Huang He devoted 10 years to teaching in
secondary schools. He was unwilling to resign from his
extraordinary work and later threw himself onto the road of art, traveling across
China to pursue his dream. He sought the teaching of Central Arts
Institute Professor Ye Qianyu, and others for guidance. He also spent much
time learning from friends and devoted himself to the study of Chinese seal carving.
Teachers and Cultural Education
Mr. Huang He has had five different teachers and also the guidance of well known
masters during his developmental years including Mr. Patten, Mr. Lan Su Xuan, Wang Guan, Jing Ding,
Jiang Renquan, Deng Shiru, Zhao Zhiqian, Xu 3 G, Wu Changshuo, San Deng Lin
and Qi Baishi, all masters of art.
After that, while in China he spent a lot of time studying Chinese culture
visiting places like the Great Wall,
the Forbidden City and various Temples, and also marketplaces like Panjiayuan
where Chinese artists offer their art and services. During his leisure
time he often visits museums like Rong Bao Zhai, the Beijing
Capital Museum, the National Palace Museum and other places to view famous
seal carvings carved from 1368-1644. He has studied and carved and very carefully
researched countless seals and techniques of carving.
The Culmination of His Tireless Efforts
Though his many years of attaining knowledge have plotted
to thin his hair, after more than 20 years of strenuous effort during his carvers career,
carving over 40000 seals he has achieved "quantitative to qualitative change."
During a 2006 television competition, the petroglyphs of the Yellow River Xiao
spot seals, "monkey", composition full image naive, lively, lovable, stabbed
bold, finished, he won unanimous praise from audiences in Taiwan and Mainland
China. This side is a
portrait of the Yellow River and is a comprehensive performance art.
Mr. Pang Tians' book records his painting skills, the book is interesting
and printed
spirituality. 2005 by the People's Republic of China invited Japanese history
editorial A carving "Qing Xi-General" to be recognized. With the skill and
artistry in August 2006 way to Licuoqunxiong won, "the China Central
Television first tournament seal carving superman" champion. Carving techniques
Chinese seal carving has been vice president of the research institute Luo
Corp Corp, and Qinghua University Professor Hu Qing as well.
Now with the benefit of being "China Central Television, the first tournament
seal carving Superman" champion, National and international television viewers
from around the world visit Huang He to have seals carved, so he is very busy
these days.
Remembering His Roots, a Plan to Help Others
Though his career prospers he has not lost touch with his roots, nor has he
forgot he is a teacher at heart. He plans to visit the western
poverty-stricken areas of China to recruit students who love carving, and to teach them to put their experiences to
practical use, that they may be able to support themselves and their families. In memory of traditional Chinese culture, to get their works
exhibited at the Panjiayuan Lane.
To help them help themselves to complete their studies,
reduce the burden on their family and society. This is his hope to contribute
to a project to help others. He knows that achieving this ideal society
requires
the support and concern of other like minded individuals, companies and
government institutions.
